چکیده

Aim:
Chiari malformation is a spectrum of diseases that includes different subtypes, has wide clinical presentation, and therefore follow-up treatment methods. We aimed to compare scoring systems cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) dynamics obtained by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in Arnold Malformation Type-1 (CM-1) patients the preoperative postoperative periods.
 Material Method:
Twenty-one with diagnosis CM-1 who underwent CSF MRI between January 2016 June 2020 were included. In addition, 21 healthy volunteers evaluated. All had undergone decompression surgery due related symptoms. The relationship findings was Changes compared.
 Results:
Measurements made just below level cerebellar tonsil. higher peak positive velocity anteriorly (PPV: 6.26±2.72 vs 3.89±1.74 cm/s; p=0.001) negative (PNV: -7.45±3.36 -3.61±2.65 than volunteers. Preoperative net flow posterior subarachnoid space lower (p=0.017).
 Aliasing reverse seen 13(62%) patients.
 PPV PNV decreased after 4.73±1.94 cm/s, p=0.017; PNV: -4.97±1.97, p=0.005). Net Flow increased posteriorly (0.32 2.21 ml/min; p=0.053).
Postoperative response inversely proportional degree tonsillar herniation. As Asgari score cases increases, Peak Positive Negative Velocity Anterior values also increase statistically significant correlation (p=0.003; p=0,032 respectively)
 Conclusions:
Our suggest determination morphology using MR correlates may be useful tool determining need timing surgery.

Clinical and radiological findings in Arnold Chiari malformation.

BACKGROUND The Chiari Malformation I (CMI) is a disorder of uncertain origin that has been traditionally defined as downward herniation of the cerebellar tonsils through the foramen magnum. The anomaly is a leading cause of syringomyelia and occurs inassociation with osseus abnormalities at the craniovertebral junction. In contrast to other Chiari malformations, CMI tends to present in the seco...

Evaluation of the accuracy of dynamic contrast enhanced MRI in the diagnosis of invasive prostate neoplasm using pathological findings

Background: Prostate cancer is the most common malignancy in men and the second leading cause of death in all countries of the world. The exact mechanism of prostate cancer is not known. On the other hand, early detection of prostate cancer can lead to a complete cure. Several clinical experiments including Digital Rectum Examination (DRE), biochemistry such as Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), ...
